Tiara Green

Tiara was appointed president of Accessia Health in April 2024 and brings more than 20 years of experience in the public health and nonprofit sectors to the role. Prior to her appointment, she served in an interim leadership capacity beginning in June 2023, building on nearly a decade of service with the organization. Throughout her tenure at Accessia Health, Tiara has held several leadership roles, including senior vice president of programs and policy. In that role, she led strategic development and health equity initiatives while streamlining operational processes to support growth and sustainability. As president, she is focused on strengthening the organization’s impact model, expanding and refining disease funds, and ensuring programs respond to the real financial and access challenges faced by patients living with rare and chronic conditions. Under Tiara’s leadership, Accessia Health has experienced measurable organizational growth and operational advancement, including expanded patient assistance offerings and increased reach nationwide. She has also strengthened the organization’s leadership structure and helped formalize patient and clinical input into program design, reinforcing Accessia Health’s commitment to equity, accountability, and patient centered care. Tiara is a hands-on leader who prioritizes organizational development and invests in building strong, capable teams. She is deeply committed to mentoring emerging professionals and expanding leadership capacity across the organization. Her experience and institutional knowledge have also supported the continued growth of Accessia Health’s educational resources for patients and families. In addition to her work at Accessia Health, Tiara is the co-founder of the Liberated Arts Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to enriching communities through the arts. The foundation supports art education and nonprofit organizations focused on health and education through creative programming and community-based events. Tiara earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, and her Master of Science in Education from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, with a focus on community health and health promotion. She was recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review as a Top Black Healthcare Leaders to Know in 2024 and is a member of The Virginia Council of CEOs, Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association, Chief, and the Forbes Nonprofit Council. Outside of work, Tiara is actively engaged in local philanthropic efforts and enjoys international travel and spending time with her husband and their two sons.
