About

Satyabrat Chowdhury,Founding Member and Field Technology Officer at CoreStack in Bellevue, Washington. In my role, I lead the technical strategy and architecture of CoreStack's multi-cloud governance platform, which helps enterprises manage the cost, security, compliance, and operational efficiency of large-scale cloud infrastructure across providers such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud. Throughout my career, I have worked extensively with cloud platforms, distributed systems, DevOps, and large-scale data and infrastructure automation, drawing on more than twenty years of experience in product development, engineering leadership, and solution architecture. Because modern cloud and AI ecosystems depend heavily upon scalable and efficient data-processing systems, I closely follow notable developments and published work in this field. I am a member of the Forbes Technology Council, a vetted community of senior technology executives that admits members by application. There I have written on the hidden cloud cost of AI, and I contribute expert commentary on engineering leadership. I also mentor students in the University of Washington Bothell School of Business Mentorship EDGE program, where I advise them on building a career in technology. Leading my own team and mentoring student’s gives me a steady view of how technical people grow, and of what sets the strongest apart.

Artificial intelligence is advancing at a pace that has prompted some of the technology’s most influential leaders to issue stark warnings about its potential consequences. From concerns about misinformation, cybersecurity and workforce disruption to predictions of more profound risks from increasingly autonomous systems, the debate over AI’s future has become difficult for the public to ignore. But what should people make of these warnings, and how can they distinguish credible concerns from speculation? As AI moves beyond chatbots and content generation into business operations, healthcare, education and decisions that affect everyday life, understanding the technology’s potential requires looking thoughtfully at these predictions to examine what AI systems can actually do, where their limitations lie and how their growing capabilities could affect individuals and society. To explore these questions, we turned to members of the Senior Executive AI Think Tank, a curated group of experts specializing in machine learning, generative AI and enterprise AI applications. Drawing on their experience across technology, business strategy, cloud architecture and digital innovation, these leaders offer perspectives on how the public should interpret warnings about powerful AI systems and what is at stake as the technology continues to evolve.
